PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge mechanism for display device which is superior in portability and easy to store. SOLUTION: The hinge mechanism is provided with first arm parts 3, which are provided with first hinge parts 2 and second hinge parts 4 in both ends and couple a thin display device 1 like a liquid crystal display device by the first hinge parts 2, and second arm parts 5 which are provided with the second hinge part 4s and third hinge parts 6 in both ends and are coupled with the first arm parts 3 by the second hinge parts 4 and are coupled with a contact member 7 by the third hinge parts 6. The first arm parts 3 and the second arm parts 5 are provided on both side faces of the display device 1 and the contact member 7, and a grip part 8 is provided which couples the second hinge parts 4 on both sides of the display device 1 and the contact member 7.
