PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for verifying a network connection between a medical diagnostic system and a remote service facility. SOLUTION: A remote service facility 20 can freely set a contact with subscriber systems 12, 14, 16 and 18 by requesting a service, information or technical support and makes a contact with these subscriber systems for acquiring data or transmitting a service message or protocol. In a connection verifications sequence, any subscriber system is selected by the service facility and a network connection is established. The network connection can be established from a system side again. Thus, a bidirectional connection is verified. By identifying a position where processing is failed in a connection verifying processing process, failure mode can be identified at various positions of a connected network. As a result of a detected connection problem, an alarm or other processing is generated. |
