PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively reduce the weight of a spool in the spool of a double bearing reel. SOLUTION: This spool 4 of the double bearing reel comprises a flange part, a line winding barrel part and a shaft mounting part integrally formed on the inner peripheral side of the line winding barrel part. The line winding barrel part has circular through-holes 40 passing through the inner and outer peripheries in two rows at an interval in the axial direction and 8 sites for one row in the peripheral direction. Wall gouging parts 50 having the same diameter as that of the through-holes 40 are further formed in 8 sites in one row in the peripheral direction so as to reach the shaft mounting part. Since the wall gouging parts 50 are formed in the shaft mounting part, the weight of the spool 4 can effectively be reduced.
