PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new and effective device for treating some tubular tissue or for treating a tissue at many bleeding sites deviated from an axis. SOLUTION: This invention is of an electrical surgical device which has a thin and long flexible tube, where plural side ports are bored and positioned, to be used in combination with an endoscope, for coagulating a tissue. The tube is extended through an operation channel of the endoscope, and ionizable gas is supplied to the tube at the proximal end of the tube or in its neighborhood. A diffusing member diffuses ionized gas toward the tissue from the proximal end of the tube through each side port. An electrode is used for ionizing the gas before the gas is sent out of the side ports. |
