PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a latch for a connector having a relatively low outer shape. SOLUTION: This connector combined with a component to be a pair is provided with a latch which is nearly flat with a main body part. The main body part can be inserted into the component to be a pair in the combining direction and is provided with a surface nearly in parallel with the combining direction. The latch is elastically combined with the main body part in the surface and is nearly side by side to the surface. The latch is provided with a latch surface for cooperating with the latch holding part of the component to be a pair and is elastically operated in the flat surface. Then, the latch surface is released from the latch holding part of the component to be a pair. In an embodiment of this invention, the pair of connectors are respectively combined with the components which are to become respective pairs.
