PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-stage double-effect absorption refrigerating machine, which is reduced in size by reducing the liquid retaining quantity of the machine and improved in load responsiveness by safely and surely circulating a liquid. SOLUTION: A two-stage double-effect absorption refrigerating machine is constituted, by operationally connecting a high-temperature regenerator 1A, low-temperature regenerator 1B, condenser 2, first evaporator 3A, first absorber 4A second evaporator 3B, second absorber 4B, liquid heat exchanger, solution circulating pump 6C, refrigerant pumps 7A and 7B, solution spraying pump 6B, etc., through pipeline and uses an aqueous solution of salts, which is prepared to cool the second absorber 4B with a cold heat medium which is lower in temperature than the cold heat medium which cools the first absorber 4A as an absorbing liquid. The liquid reservoir section of the second absorber 4B is positioned larger in height than that of the liquid reservoir section of the first absorber 4A.
