PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for decode-pressing compressed data, an electronic device and an auxiliary recorder that can cope with update/improvement of encoding compressed information recorded in a recording medium and take real time performance into account. SOLUTION: An optical disk records program data that can execute part of decoding processing in advance in addition to image compression data, a memory card being a removable auxiliary recording device from the electronic device temporarily records the program data, the program data recorded in the memory card are recorded in a main memory in the electronic device, the image compression data from the optical disk are read by the electronic device, using a decoding processing means configured in the electronic device partially applies decoding processing to the compressed image data and the program data that can execute part of the decoding processing recorded in the memory of the electronic device are used to apply decode processing to the compression image data partially decode-processed.
