PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate reception error due to noise that the output signal RCV of a comparator for reception for a signal in the differential format of a USB has in an EOP period. SOLUTION: The comparator 5 for reception is connected to 1st and 2nd signal lines 3a and 3b connected to a USB connector 1. A receive signal correcting circuit 11 is provided at the output stage of this comparator 5. This correcting circuit 11 is composed of 1st and 2nd noise removing circuits 6 and 7 composed of Schmitt trigger circuits connected to the 1st and 2nd signal lines 3a and 3b, a NOR gate 15, and an OR gate 16. The outputs of the noise removing circuits 6 and 7 are sent to the NOR gate 15. The comparator 5 is connected to one input terminal of the OR gate 16 and the NOR gate 15 is connected to the other input terminal. In an EOP period, the output of the OR gate 16 is held at high level.
