PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clock generator of a simple constitution which can obtain the spread spectrum clocks which are synchronized with each other within a fixed phase error and also can decrease the electromagnetic noises. SOLUTION: This clock generator includes a clock generation part 1, a selection processing part 3 and a dithering control part 2. The part 1 generates the m-phase clock signals having the phases shifted from each other by a fixed extent with desired frequency and these generated clock signals are supplied to the part 3. The part 2 supplies a control signal to the part 3. The part 3 selects successively one of m-phase clock signals according to the control signal that is supplied from the part 2 to fluctuate back and forth the phase of the clock signal with a prescribed relation and within a range of accuracy that is allowed by a communication system serving as a supply destination and then to obtain a 2nd clock signal having scattered peaks on a spectrum from the part 3. |
