PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken the processing speed of a translation device having device information on its outside by simplifying the alteration of the translation device even when the device specification is complicated, and a huge amount of definition information is necessitated. SOLUTION: In this translation device, the amount of information to be defined on the outside of the device can be reduced, and the data input processing of the translation device can be reduced not by holding all information necessary for the translation device as outside information but by narrowing down information to be held on the outside of the translation device into information whose specification change is likely to be generated. Thus, the alteration of the translation device itself accompanied by the change of the device specification or the addition of limitation items can be simplified, and the translation device whose processing speed is high can be realized by deleting the data input processing, and updating the information preliminarily defined inside the translation device.
