PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iris drive device by which the reduction in thickness and miniaturization are attained and to provide an electronic equipment having the device. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a first diaphragm blade 101 and a second diaphragm blade 102 to adjust light quantity by moving, a rotary body 132 whose first part is connected with the first diaphragm blade 101 and whose second part is connected with the second diaphragm blade 102, fixed parts 106 and 107, a first shape memory alloy member 104 whose one end part is attached to the first part of the rotary body 132 and whose other end is attached to the fixed parts 106 and 107 and by which the angle of rotation of the rotary body 132 is regulated by activating tensile force by energizing and a second shape memory alloy member 105 whose one end part is attached to the second part of the rotary body 132 and whose other end is attached to the fixed parts 106 and 107 and by which the angle of rotation of the rotary body 132 is regulated by activating the tensile force by energizing.
