PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an estimation method, for a decentering position, in which the decentering amount, with reference to the rotation center of a subturntable, of the center of gravity of the sensitivity shaft of an accelerometer, as an object to be inspected, mounted on the subturntable of a double turntable-type acceleration generation apparatus is estimated. SOLUTION: This double turntable-type acceleration generation apparatus is provided with a main rotary body 1 which is turned by a first servomotor. The acceleration generation apparatus is provided with a subrotating body 9 which is attached to the proper place in the outer circumference of the main rotary body 1 so as rotatable by a second servomotor and to which an accelerometer 20 can be attached. In this estimation method for the decentering position of the accelerometer in the double turntable-type acceleration generation apparatus, the accelerometer 20 as an object to be inspected is mounted on the sub-rotary body, the subrotating body is turned at a constant frequency in a state that the main rotating body is stopped, an output signal from the accelerometer at this time is measured, the decentering amount in the X-axis direction of the accelerometer is found on the basis of the frequency and the output signal of the sub-rotary body at this time, and the decentering amount in the Y-axis direction is found by using an acceleration, in the target line direction generated due to the rotation of the sub-rotary body in a state that the decentering amount in the X-axis direction is set at 0.
