PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving unit for a toy applicable to many kinds of toys by switching the fitting state to a case body, with favorable flexibility. SOLUTION: This unit has the case body 11 formed with an insert opening part 13, and a driving means 110 and a power transmitting means 111 are arranged in the case body 11. When a first operating arm 42 and a second operating arm 43 are mounted linearly in the case body 11, the respective tip sides are turned to displace in the opposite directions. When they are mounted on the case body 11 in another sate where the direction of the second operating arm 43 is reversed, the respective tip sides of the first operating arm 42 and the second operating arm 43 are turned to displace in the same direction.
