PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collecting unit which exhibits functions of dust collection, deodorization, sterilization, pasteurization, decomposition treatment, or the like, within a single unit, facilitates maintenance in a dust collection function section and deodorization function section, is excellent in a dust collection effect and is compact. SOLUTION: Components, such as dust, electrified to a positive pole are efficiently captured and collected at a negative pole plate 9b by the repulsion by a position electrode and the attraction by a negative electrode when the components pass between the positive pole plate 9a and the negative pole plate 9b. Components, such as bacteria and odors, included in polluted air are pasteurized, sterilized and deodorized by the UV rays from a pasteurizing lamp 8 with which the components are irradiated. The components, such as dust, captured to the negative electrode plate 9b are subjected to the decomposition treatment by the oxidation effect of photocatalysts by the irradiation with the UV rays.
