PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity information input device to improve the service and sales promotion to customers by displaying the commodity message of a commodity corresponding to the temperature of the purchased commodity. SOLUTION: This article information input device is constituted so that service of commodity information and the sales promotion to the customer are attained by inferring the commodity by detecting the temperature of a basket in which the customer puts the commodities to be purchased by a temperature sensor 13 when the customer mounts the basket on a mounting platform 3 and displaying the commodity message corresponding to the temperature by a display means 9 for customer.
