PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data generating device capable of easily preparing data including a plurality of control points so as to be able to represent the beauty of a woman's body line. SOLUTION: Polygon data include a plurality of control points showing a three-dimensional shape approximated to a polyhedron. A curve passing though the plurality of control points is first generated. A cylindrical object having the width and height of the three-dimensional shape approximated to the polyhedron is secondarily generated, and n×m pieces of division points are generated by dividing the cylindrical object into n-pieces of parts in a height direction and also dividing the contour of each cross section obtained by the division into m pieces of circular arcs. A new control point is set on the curve on the basis of the position relation between the n×m pieces of division points and the curve.
