SOLUTION: In a gas storage tank 1, rock mass G is excavated to form a cavity 2, and the inner surfaces of the cavity 2 are covered with a lining material 3 to form a space for storing high-pressure gases inside the lining material 3. A coating film part 4 made of a brittle coat is formed in the inner surfaces 3a of the lining material 3.
