A method is proposed to increase the steepness of the wave-front of square-wave alternating current. AC current is producecd by a bridge circuit controller (3) equipped with over-voltage protection (2). It is then passed to the output via a high voltage separation stage (4). A circuit is proposed, including direct current source(s) (1), connected to an over-voltage protection circuit (2), AC controller in the form of a bridge (3), a high voltage separator stage and terminals for welding cable (5) connection. According to the proposed method after the formation of the welding arc the inductivity of the choke (10) is eliminated and/or the over-voltage protection circuit (2) is pre-charged. The basis of the proposed circuit is that the choke (10) separating the high voltage is provided with an auxiliary winding (12) and/or over-voltage protection circuit (2) is provided with a pre-charging connection (6). |
