PURPOSE: To reduce of offensive smell emitted when an oil burning apparatus is extinguished by a method wherein burning is continued forcibly for a while after the stopping of burning while an opening-closing body provided at a hot air blowoff port is closed to stop a blower for convection. CONSTITUTION: A burning controller 11 starts a first timer part 12 simultaneously with the stopping of burning. A fuel pump 5 and a burner fan 6 are continued to operate during the activation of the timer part 12 and a blower 7 for convection is braked to close an opening-closing body 9. When the first timer part 12 expires, the fuel pump 5 is stopped and then a second timer part 13 is started. During the activation of the timer part 13, the opening-closing body 9 is held at a closing position to operate the blower 7 for convection at a specified number of revolutions. Finally, when the second timer part 13 expires, a third timer part 14 is started. During the activation of the timer part 14, the burner fan 6 is operated at a specified number of revolutions while the blower 7 for convection is operated at a specified number of revolutions. |
