SUBSTANCE: method involves extraction of heart-shaped plume poppy (Macleya cordata) or microcarpous plume poppy (Macleya microcarpus) with hydrophobic solvent in the presence of alkaline agent. The end alkaloid bisulfates are precipitated by their conversion to bases and by repeated reprecipitation from hydrophobic organic solvent. Extraction is carried out with ethyl acetate or dichloroethane by successive treatment of some raw portions with a single volume of extractant by countercurrent principle. Ammonia aqueous solution is used as alkaline agent in the process of purification and chloroform is used as an extractant. By-side alkaloids are separated additionally by filtration and extraction of organic phase with water. EFFECT: simplified process, decreased consumption of raw and energy. 3 ex
