PURPOSE: A manhole cover assembly is provided to prevent the separation of a manhole cover from a frame when heavy vehicles are passing on a road or sewage flows backward, to reduce the danger from the damage of a manhole, and not to make noise on vehicle traffic. CONSTITUTION: A manhole cover assembly comprises a frame(110), a manhole cover(120), a hook to lock the manhole cover, and a locking part(140) installed to the lower part of the manhole cover and formed in arc shape entirely and provided with a female lock(141) having the section of converging the ends of a long leg(141a) and a short leg(141b) and a frame projection(142) extended, projected inward from the frame and engaged with the space between the long leg and the short leg.
