PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a maintenance supervisory method for gap filler and a gap filler maintenance supervisory system that can efficiently maintain and supervise many narrow area gap fillers installed in a wireless communication system employing the many narrow area gap fillers. SOLUTION: A maintenance supervisory information storage function section 12 in a maintenance supervisory control section 11 in the narrow area gap filler 10 stores normal/abnormal operating state information discriminated by a fault detection function section 17, and upon the receipt of an inquiry request from a master narrow area gap filler 20, a maintenance supervisory wireless communication function section 13 transmits the normal/abnormal operating state information stored in the maintenance supervisory information storage function section 12 to the master narrow area gap filler 20 via a maintenance supervisory network wireless antenna ANT and a maintenance supervisory network NA using a transceiver mode of a PHS.
