PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To design a target microprocessor in a short time without error. SOLUTION: This microprocessor designing device is provided with a means 1 for reading the HDL description of the microprocessor of a design source, a means 2 for reading a program to be run by the target microprocessor, a means 3 for sorting an arithmetic processing function, that the microprocessor of the design source has, to a function to be used for the program and a function not to be used for the target program, and a means 4 for preparing the HDL description of the target microprocessor by deleting a description corresponding to the function not to be used for the program from the HDL description of the microprocessor of the design source.
