PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a micolens substrate capable of preventing defects, e.g. generation of foams, stripping, white turbidity, etc. SOLUTION: The microlens substrate 1 has a glass base plate 2 having plural recessed parts 3 provided in a surface thereof and a glass layer 8 joined to the surface where the recessed parts 3 of the glass base plate 2 are formed through a resin layer 9. Relating to the resin layer 9, micorlenses 4 is formed of the resin filled in the recessed parts 3. The resin constituting the resin layer 9 has <=8.8 curing shrinkage ratio at the time of curing. The resin preferably has <=48 deg.C glass transition temperature Tg and Shore D hardness of <=74.
