PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor in which occurrence rate of a short circuit is decreased by coating a corner part. SOLUTION: In the solid electrolytic capacitor comprising an anode body 1 of a valve-acting metal which has an anode lead-out wire 2 and on the surface of which a dielectric oxide film layer is formed, conductive polymer layers 5 and 6 formed on the dielectric oxide film layer of the anode body 1 as a solid electrolytic layer, cathode layers 7 and 8 provided on the conductive polymer layer, leading-out terminals 9 and 10 that are connected to the anode lead- out wire 2 and the cathode layer 8, respectively, and an external packaging 11 that covers the entire part except a part of the leading-out terminals 9 and 10, the thickness of the conductive polymer layers 5 and 6 of the corner part of the anode body 1 is 5-100μm.
