PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a microprocessor by efficiently stopping power supply starting with a clock to a storage device, etc. SOLUTION: The storage device 103 to hold an instruction to constitute a program as a processing object of the microprocessor is made to hold a compressed instruction formed by multiplexing instructions of plural steps to one instruction by using indexes corresponding to respective instructions. Extension from the indexes to a developed instruction is performed to the compressed instruction from the storage device 103 by using an instruction correspondence table 111 to indicate relation between the respective indexes of the compressed instruction and an original developing instruction. Stop control of the power supply to the storage device 103 is performed during processing of the compressed instruction.
