The invention concerns a utensil (6) for applying cake mix (5) in the angle (4) formed by the base (2) and by the periphery (3) of a pie plate (1), wherein said mix is set raw. Said utensil (6) comprises a gripping handle (7), connected by a rod (9) to a wheel (8) mounted rotating freely about its axis (9a). The wheel (8) has, at its periphery, a rounded profile.
