PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which an image of a player part becomes unsharp due to less code allocations to the player in conventional quantizing operation when a telephonegraphic image and a wide-angle image are alternated to follow up the movement of the player like a sports relay image. SOLUTION: A latent vector correction part 21 inputs camera information, showing aging changes of camera operation to be picked up and extracts and outputs a moving vector (latent vector) generated latently, in an image frame to a moving vector exceptional process part 22. The moving vector exception process part 22 calculates the difference between the moving vector and latent vector from the latent vector correction part 21 to extract a pure moving vector with which the movement of a player can be detected. An edge-detecting process part 27 detects the edge of the player according to the pure moving vector inputted via a vector value mapping part and outputs it to weighting process part 28. Consequently, the weighting process part 28 improves resolution by decreasing the quantization coefficient of the player part to make the image of the player sharper.
|
