PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic timepiece which can be made thin even when a calendar wheel is built in, which can enhance a fall-shock resistant property and which can reduce a failure. SOLUTION: A region dividing line 71 which connects the rotation center position O of a pointer to the center of gravity Gz of a spring is defined, and a region dividing line 72 which connects the rotation center position O to the center of gravity Gc of coil blocks 21, 22 of a generator is defined. The plane of this electronic timepiece is divided into two regions 73, 74. A date turning wheel 52 which turns a date wheel 51 is arranged in the first region 73. A date jumper 54 which positions the date wheel 51 is arranged in the second region 74. Since the spring and the coil blocks 21, 22 are arranged so as to be separated through the date jumper 54, they can be arranged in comparatively separated positions such as positions which are nearly symmetric with respect to the rotation center position O. The weight of a timepiece body is well- balanced, a failure in a fall or a shock can be prevented, and the timepiece body can be made thin.
