PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hole covering body to surely cover a hole for passing a pipe so that a worker can safely achieve the work at a construction site. SOLUTION: In the hole covering body 5 to cover a hole to pass the pipe built in a building, the hole covering body 5 comprises a lid part 6 to cover the hole 3, and an insertion part 7 which is extended from one side of the lid part 6 and inserted in the bole 3, and this insertion part 7 freely changes the diameter of its outer circumferential edge in the radial direction according to the inside diameter of the hole 3 to which the insertion part is inserted.
