Automotive vehicle onboard antenna used along with vehicle entry system or vehicle engine ignition system

The passive system utilizes a electronic coded card or chip card (106) which electronically sends identification information to a single onboard antenna (102). This antenna is integrated in the roof panel (104) of the vehicle (100) utilizing a classic wire or flat cable technology. The antenna communicates with a vehicle control unit in order to allow activation of various predetermined mechanical systems of the vehicle, like the vehicle entry system, or the vehicle engine ignition system. In another mode, the antenna is integrated in the occupant detection system placed in the vehicle passenger seat.
