PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To take required information in from a home page provided, for example, through the internet to be ulitized for a navigation system such as destination setting. SOLUTION: A CPU 11 in an on-vehicle unit 10 side data-changes a received character data to display a character sequence or a numeral sequence with an expression form discriminable by a user, and displays it on a display 16, when the CPU 11 determines that the character sequence or the numeral sequence presumed as a phone number, a postal code number, an address, a facility name or the like of a specified facility and the like is included in the character data in the internet home page received from the outside of a vehicle. When the user assigns one of the character sequence or the numeral sequence by an input means 14, a CPU 21 in an information center 20 side retrieves a position data of a point corresponding to the character sequence or the numeral sequence while making reference to a destination data 224 using it as a retrieving key. The CPU 11 receiving a retrieved result sets it as a guide destination in the navigation system to search automatically a route from a present position detected by a sensor means upto the destination.
