PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file managing method where a processing for restoring the fault of a communication system environment is improved. SOLUTION: A plurality of communication networks 10 and 20 with different protocols are connected via an IP network 30 and protocol conversion between the communication networks is executed by gate keepers 100 and 101 by using address converting information in a file managing method when the fault is restored. The gate keepers 100 and 101 distributes address converting information into a plurality of files, stores them, changes a file version when the files are updated, compares the file versions stored in the gate keepers 100 and 101 when the fault is restored, extracts only the file where the file with a difference is discovered, updates address converting information and the file version and keeps the compatibility of the files kept by the gate keepers.
