PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unconstrained type damping material which is excellent in temperature dependence. SOLUTION: This unconstrained type damping material has a viscoelastic layer which is formed on one surface of a substrate and, therein, the viscoelastic layer is constituted by making the following components A, B as a base material and compounding a component C to the base material. Therein, A denotes resin whose glass transition temperature (Tg) is in the range of 35-60 deg.C, B denotes rubber whose glass transition temperature (Tg) is in the range of -10 to 20 deg.C and C denotes a damping filler.
