<p>A cogeneration device for generating electricity and supplying heat by a polyelectrolyte type fuel cell which generates electricity by using fuel gas and oxidizing agent gas. For electricity generation using such fuel cell, to keep the temperature in the fuel cell (1) constant, it has been common practice to circulate water through a cooling pipe (8) by a pump (9) and discharge the heat from the fuel cell (1) into the outside through a cooling heat radiator (10); thus, the heat produced during the electricity generation has not been utilized, making it impossible to construct a cogeneration device. The inventive cogeneration device comprises such fuel cell (1), an inner circulating circuit (8) for circulating an inner heat transfer medium through the fuel cell, an inner circulating means (9) for circulating the medium, a heat exchange means (14) for exchanging the heat of the medium with an outer heat transfer medium, a fuel cell main body unit (19) containing the fuel cell (1), the inner circulating circuit (8), the inner circulating means (9), and the heat exchange means (14), and a heat utilizing means (18) thermally utilizing, through waste heat recovery pipes (17a, 17b), the outer heat transfer medium heat-exchanged by the heat exchange means (14).</p> |
