All purpose liquid cleaning compositions containing an anionic detergent, ethoxylated nonionic surfactant and ethoxylated/butoxylated nonionic surfactant

A cleaning composition comprises: (a) 0.1 wt. % to 8 wt. % of a mixture of a partially esterified ethoxylated polyhydric alcohol, a fully esterified ethoxylated polyhydric alcohol and a nonesterified ethoxylated polyhydric alcohol as depicted in formulae (I) and (II) wherein: w is 1 to 4; B is hydrogen or -C(=O)-R wherein R is an alkyl group having 6 to 22 carbon atoms or alkenyl groups having 6 to 22 carbon atom wherein at least one of the B groups is -C(=O)-R' with R' is hydrogen or methyl; x, y and z have a value between 0 and 60, provided that (x+y+z) equals 2 to 100; provided in formula (I) the weight ratio of monoester/diester/triester is 40 to 90/5 to 35/1 to 20 and the weight ratio of formula (I) and formula (II) is a value between 3 and 0.02; (b) 0.1 to 10 wt. % of an ethoxylated nonionic surfactant; (c) 0.1 wt. % to 8 wt. % of an anionic surfactant; (d) 0.1% to 10% of an ethoxylated/butoxylated nonionic surfactant; (e) 0.1 wt. % to 10 wt. % of a water insoluble hydrocarbon, essential oil or a perfume; and (f) the balance being water wherein the composition does not contain an aliphatic organic acids or glycol ether type cosurfactant.
