METHOD AND DEVICE FOR IMAGE SYNTHESIS

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image synthesis method, which synthesizesαdata attached image (2nd image) havingαdata denoting transparency of pixels with an original image (1st picture) resulting from an image that is compressed by using discrete cosine transform(DCT), that reduces a time required for the synthesis so as to miniaturize the image synthesis device and to reduce the cost. SOLUTION: Inverse discrete cosine transform(IDCT) is used to expand only a DCT block configuring the 1st image corresponding to an image block havingα-data (denoting not completely transparent) not being zero configuring a 2nd image, the images are synthesized and recompressed, and DCT blocks are connected to generate a compressed synthesis image.
