PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system which guides to a destination with safety and sure while easy to understand by displaying a virtual car image which leads a car on a front window, and allowing the virtual car to guide a course. SOLUTION: A CPU 16 calculates a course to a destination using a road map data storage part 12 and a memory 19, and stores the guiding data in a course calculation result memory 11. The CPU 16 detects a road part using the view in front of a car which is imaged with a camcorder 14, the road map data storage part 12, and memory 19, and stores a result in an image recognition result memory 15. Further, the CPU 16 calculates the position in front of the car which is included in the view using a current car position detected with a current position detecting part 13, the course calculation result memory 11, and the data of image recognition result memory 15, so that the image of virtual car running at the position is generated and stored in a display memory 17. An image display part 18 displays the content of the display memory 17 on the front window. |
