The ball bearing (18), which supports the part of the rotor shaft (16) located on the rotor, has an inner raceway (23) with an enlarged face upon which the supporting part (22) of the rotor (13) abuts. This leads to an increase in the flexural strength of the rotor shaft at the location of the ball bearing (18), whereby the natural bending frequency is also increased. This results in a natural bending frequency that is greater than the operating frequency of the rotor shaft while preventing resonances. |
