PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding structure for recording medium, with which plural recording media can be stored in the main body of electronic equipment, using a simple mechanism and the main body of electronic equipment can be miniaturized. SOLUTION: A memory card slot 36 has a card storage chamber 38, capable of storing plural memory cards (smart media) 34 while overlapping them, and an electrical contact part 40 is provided on one side in the card storage chamber 38. The memory card 34 inserted into the card storage chamber 38 is energized to the side of the electrical contact part 40 by a spring mechanism 42, and only the memory card 34 located outermost (on the side of the electrical contact part 40) is electrically connected and becomes the object of access. By pressing a medium eject button 44 and ejecting the memory card 34 on the side of the electrical contact part 40, the memory card 34 to be accessed can be changed. Additionally, the spare memory card 34 is inserted in the area, where no contact with the electrical contact part 40 and the memory card 34 is exchanged, as needed.
