PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the number of components and the assembly man-hours of a voice coil motor. SOLUTION: Both the ends 107a of a lower yoke 107 are fitted onto a yoke fitting base 161 of a chassis 41 with a couple of screws 163, having short length, and cuts 166 for engagement formed on the reverse surfaces of both 90 deg. downwardly bent ends 106a of an upper yoke 106 which has a magnetic plate 105 attracted on its reverse surface, are engaged with cuts 167 for engagement formed on both the sides of both the ends 107a of the lower yoke 107 from above and are attracted and fixed onto the lower yoke 107 with the attracting force of the magnet plate 105.
