PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a PID addressing method using wobble signals and its detection method, a wobble address encoding circuit and its detection circuit and a recording medium respectively. SOLUTION: When the physical identification information using wobbles is addressed on a recording medium that can be recorded on the land/group tracks, the wobble signals having the address information showing the physical identification information that undergone its phase modulation and the wobble signals having only carriers are iteratively recorded and undergo the time division multiplexing to both side walls of one of group or land tracks. Thus, the same method is available for detecting both land and group addresses and the land/group tracks can be easily discriminated from each other by setting the different address sizes between the land and group tracks.
