METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REGISTERING TELEPHONE DIRECTORY INFORMATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time and labor required for inputting operation of name information by receiving the name information from the database of a service center without inputting the name information in a mobile communication apparatus. SOLUTION: The mobile communication apparatus 1 inputs a telephone number and transmits inputted telephone number information to a telephone directory information providing device 10 as request information. The device 10 retrieves name information corresponding to the telephone number included in the received request information from a telephone directory information database 13 and returns telephone directory information consisting of the retrieved name information and corresponding telephone number information to the apparatus 1. The apparatus 1 analyzes the received telephone directory information to be the telephone number information and the name information. A telephone directory information registering part 8 compares the transmitted telephone number information with the received telephone number information and when they are coincident, the part 8 registers the telephone number information and the corresponding name information in a telephone directory information storing part 5 as the telephone directory information.
