PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile satellite communication terminal that attains dual mode communications by itself alone and that attains a small volume also in a carrying state by storing and installing both mode antennas on a single axis with a simpler structure than that of a conventional terminal and to provide a method how to use it. SOLUTION: A satellite antenna 6 is configured to be a hollow cylindrical shape, a ground antenna 5 is placed in the hollow so that the satellite antenna 6 is configured to be freely contained in/pulled out from a terminal enclosure. The satellite antenna 6 consists of a 4-wire winding helical antenna element section 61 and an antenna feeder section 62 that is integrally provided to a lower part of the 4-wire winding helical antenna element section 61 and on the cylindrical surface of which circuits 621, 622, 623 are formed.
