A multiplication coefficient generation circuit 906 supplies first and second multiplication coefficient values to multipliers 904a and 904b. Multipliers 905a and 905b multiply data supplied from memories 904a and 904b by multiplication coefficient values. An adder 907 adds multiplication results of multipliers 905a and 905b. An encoding circuit 908 encodes data as the addition result to generate efficiently encoded data. This efficiently encoded data is recorded as the editing result.
