<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple mechanism for moving a front lid forward when closed and to make the front lid stably move forward. SOLUTION: A tape cassette 10 is so constituted that the front lid 60 which opens and closes the front side of a part of a magnetic tape positioned across the front of a cassette shell 20 containing tape reels 40 and 50 wound with a magnetic tape 30 rotates upward and moves backward when closed to open the front side of the magnetic tape. This tape cassette 10 is inserted into a cassette holder 150, which loads the tape cassette at a specific loading position of a recording and reproducing device 110. This cassette holder has a lid depression piece 154 which presses the center part of the front lid forward when the tape cassette is ejected from the cassette holder.</p> |
