PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technique by which scaling is easily executed in order to be adaptable to development in the microprocessor of a succeeding generation. SOLUTION: MMU 110 is provided by a system where it is easily scaled in order to be adaptable to development in the microprocessor 100 of the succeeding generation. Preferably, access is performed to MMU resources in a configuration register space which is separated from physical and logical address spaces and the MMU configuration register is embodied and easily becomes adaptable to version to be scaled in future. An instruction to perform access to, change and control MMU configuration register contents is provided.
