PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk player which can automatically load and play one of plural kinds of disks such as a 12 cm CD, an 8 cm CD, and a maxi CD by inserting the disk into a slot. SOLUTION: A disk conveying means includes a disk conveying roller which abuts against a 1st surface of a disk to be carried to carry the disk. A disk detecting means includes a disk abutting member which can be displaced between a detection position and a nondetection position. The disk abutting member is displaced from the nondetection position to the detection position by abutting against a 2nd surface of the disk, so that the insertion of the disk is detected.
