PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a voltex from being generated in a flow passage, and to allow accurate measurement for a flow rate. SOLUTION: This flowmeter 10 of the present invention is provided with a main body 13 built-in with the flow passage for communicating a flow-in port 20 with a flow-out port 21, and a measuring means 15 for measuring the flow rate of a fluid passing through the flow passage. The main body 13 is provided with a fluid accelerating part reduced continuously in a cross-section of the flow passage toward its downstream, and the measuring means 15 measures the flow rate of the fluid passing through the fluid accelerating part.
