HYDROXYETHOXYBENZAMIDE DERIVATIVES AND DRUGS CONTAINING THE SAME

Hydroxyethoxybenzamide derivatives represented by general formula (I), which have a dopamine D2 receptor blocking effect and a 5-HT4 receptor stimulating effect and are useful as drugs ameliorating digestive tract functions with the regulated expression of extrapyramidal syndrome, or pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof; wherein R<1> represents halogeno; R<2> represents hydrogen or halogeno; R<3> represents halogeno; and R<4> represents lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, amino, halo(lower alkyl) or halo(lower alkoxy). These compounds are efficacious for diseases such as reflux esophagitis, epigastric unidentified complaint, gastritis and gastric ulcer.
